Turkish Airlines Open, Challenge Tour
30 April 2010: author: Jamie Mcleary
This is the best course I have played this season as of writing this. I shot 69 (-3) in round 4 and finished T8th at -6. With the exception of Saturday I am delighted with the way I have played this week and things look great for the rest of the season.
Round 3
Hi everyone,
Didn't play too well today. Our whole 3 ball struggled today with a slight wind and hard greens. Really we didn't make enough birdies and there were some funny shots being played by all. Hopefully tomorrow I will shoot a good score and climb back up the leaderboard.
Thanks, Jamie
Round 2
I played very well all day and got my reward for staying patient, after a few missed putts on front 9, by shooting 30 on the back side. My wedge game has been very good the first 2 days and that's probably made the difference between even par and minus 8. Thanks to Graeme at Golfdatalab I found that I was only hitting 55% of greens with my wedges. This is terrible and it was something that I wanted to put right before start of my main season. Thankfully it looks like I have and I'm now hitting over 80% with them. I know this doesn't sound amazing but because we always take dead aim at pins with them we occasionally miss it on the odd fringe or spin off the green.
Hopefully I'll continue to give myself chances over the next few days and take the ones that come my way. I'm looking forward to leading a golf tournament again. Last time I did that I won in Aviemore. Hopefully the same will happen here.
Thanks for reading. See you back here tomorrow.

Round 1
Hi everyone,
The weather was beautiful today in Antalya and the scoring reflected that with 54 guys shooting under par. Fortunately I was one of those guys with a bogey free 69 (-3).
I played very solidly today and if my putter had have been hot today I could have shot very deep. 69 is a good start though and I'm looking forward to building on that tomorrow. Particularly pleasing to me was my driving. I think I only drove it in the rough once and that was on the last hole because I got a bit spooked by the water down the left. I didn't play the par 5s particularly well today either. Mind you, they're not the easiest and you could easily run up a high number.
Anyway I better get off to my bed as I'm up ay 6:30 tomorrow for an 8:20 tee time. Check back later in the week to see how I get on. Check out www.jamiemcleary.com for more info on me.
Thanks
Jamie
